Adaptable living room tables: A move in every possible sense!

The living room space must be well-designed for easy movement around the table. The living room tables are designed to enable you to travel quite easily from the cab to the kitchen :

  • On the low-profile models, the plate moves lengthways, sideways and rotates on a telescopic foot to provide the occasional berth (except for 7FF).
  • On the A-Class models, the leg is fixed (telescopic on the new Serie 10) but the tabletop moves longitudinally and sideways, and rotates as well..

Bedding

Bedding is one of RAPIDO’s strengths. The most particular care is paid to offering you foam bedding of the highest resilience, with the Bultex® label:

Memory foam BULTEX® mattress 130 mm thick on 90/92/95 (with Elegance furniture), 10 and 9M/MH series.
Its advantages :

  • BULTEX® label
  • Bedspring with an aluminium frame and wooden slats laid on a flexible fastening
  • Permanent ventilation

Heating

TRUMA heating system: The Truma heating system is located in the kitchen area, i.e. in the central part of the vehicle, to provide the best output possible and even radiant heat to the front and rear of the vehicle. This location was determined from tests conducted jointly by the supplier and RAPIDO.

ALDE central heating system: Comfort PLUS Arctic: Why “Comfort Plus Arctic” ? Because RAPIDO wished to market the ALDE system in its topof- therange version with reinforcement of the heating points in the cab, which is often a source of heat loss. The architecture for the installation has been customised by RAPIDO in collaboration with the ALDE team and then successfully launched with our Nordic customers and is now offered to all the countries of Europe, which makes it a benchmark for the market.

RAPIDO offers a mode of heating, tested by ourselves in the Scandinavian countries and developed in collaboration with the ALDE team, which provides heat harmoniously distributed through the living area creating a real sensation of well-being.

It consists of a central heating unit comprising a gas boiler and a heat exchanger. The boiler heats a liquid composed of 60% water and 40% glycol. The water/glycol mixture circulates in the system through the pipes and the convectors by means of a 12V circulation pump. The convectors, placed along the exterior walls, heat the air, which rises, heating the furniture units and partitions. Because warm air rises, a barrier of air is formed, which insulates the windows from the cold. The temperature inside the living area is regulated by means of an air thermostat, and can be separately adjusted in the bedroom.

  • Available as standard on the Serie 9002dFH ; New Serie 10 ; Serie 9M/MH.
  • Available as an option on Low-profile 7065dF, 7090dF and A-Class 9066dF, 9090dF, 9092dF, 9096dF.

Other comfort components

The new RAPIDO A-Class models are developing technically and seeing their standards of comfort advance:

  • The underside of the cab bed in the A-Class models is fitted with a new generation of built-in roller blinds, electric on the Serie 9002dFH ; New Serie 10 ; Serie 9M/MH and manual on the Serie 9dF ; Serie 90dF.
  • The cab beds on the new A-Class Serie 10 are electrically operated.
  • The beds over the garage are height-adjustable (except for the 643): manually on the 773FF ; 903dF ; 983dF ; 9083dF ; 9096dF ; 10001, electrically on the 10003 ; 983M ; 996M/MH.

Already fitted on all the range:

  • In the garage, an external shower as standard.
  • For the low-profile models, privacy curtains for the cab windscreen and side windows (an option on the Serie 6/6FF and 7FF).

Double floor:

technical or personal storage space

double plancher camping-car rapidoBased on its real knowledge of this particularly technical area of expertise, RAPIDO has designed two types of double floor, one to provide enormous storage space (Serie 70dF, 90dF and 10), and the other a technical double floor to free up space in the cab (Serie 9dF) and provide thermal insulation.

The storage type of double floor is very easy to access from the outside thanks to wideopening jack-assisted hatches. Access is also possible from inside via a hatch located in the living room.

A RAPIDO innovation: 3rd level storage space. This clever additional storage space, accessible from inside the vehicle, is a RAPIDO innovation, enabling you to store, for instance, your shoes or your water bottles.

The technical double floor has storage space for technical equipment to free up space in the living area for better life on board. In addition to its storage spaces, it also houses the fresh water and waste water tanks, the gas lines, electricity cables and heating circuit.

Both types of double floor also act as insulation against the cold and therefore contribute to maintaining a pleasant ambient temperature in the living area.

Technically, the double floor is an integral part of the lowered (AL-KO or FIAT) chassis, providing a very low centre of gravity and perfect stability when driving. Sandwiched between the bottom of the double floor and the floor of the living area are the waste water and fresh water tanks, adding further to the vehicle’s low centre of gravity.

The success of RAPIDO’s double-floor range, both in the low-profile and A-Class models, is due to the quality of the technical choices made, the overall design and exemplarily rigorous assembly.

Front-facing seats: Modular seats

To comply with our customers’ wishes, RAPIDO has developed new bench seats with modular seats.

From the “Living room” position around the table, you can reconfigure the seats so that they can be used facing the road with a seat belt during a trip.

With just a few manipulations, you can modify your bench seat to suit your particular requirements.
