For some years now, RAPIDO has been using a “high-tech” gel-coat material, which protects your motor home’s bodywork from climate damage, and especially UV. The quality of this resin (gel-coat) is essential. It gives your camping-car its long life, its watertightnes and its brilliant look.
The Polyglace® polyester which clads the panels of RAPIDO camping-cars
(Series 7FF ; 70/70dF ; 90dF ; 9M/MH ; 10) results from an exclusive technique.
Its manual manufacturing process guarantees a perfectly smooth bodywork
appearance of unequalled brilliance. This quality results from a greater
thickness of resin.
Most of the range is fitted with a roof covering all edges to ensure
perfect water-tightness.
Each vehicle, as it leaves the production line, passes through a water
jet tunnel to test the water-tightness of the openings.
Based
on its long experience as a motor home manufacturer, RAPIDO builds the
living areas of its vehicles with very particular attention to detail
on the insulation with the use of a material, Styrofoam, which possesses
recognised lightness properties and high insulation values.
Depending on the model, this insulation material is complemented by other
materials or technologies such as wood, aluminium or polyurethane.
For example, on the 9M/MH and 10 Series, the structure of the body is
in aluminium (on all the wall panels and the floor in the Serie 9M/MH)
or in polyurethane (on the panels in the new 10 Series).
The sub-floor on the Mercedes models is also protected by a polyester
coating. RAPIDO motor homes are renowned for their robustness and rigidity
and RAPIDO daily demonstrates its expert know-how in the use of these
materials and construction methods.
Our Design and Engineering Department constantly continues its search
for more innovative solutions.
